Four slides which are part of a larger presentation to be displayed at an info booth. The slides describe optical property changes in Laser Interstitial Thermal Therapy of solid tumors. As the laser light heats and coagulates tissue the optical properties change, making treatment planning difficult, but also offering an opportunity for monitoring. The benefits of optical monitoring over temperature measurement are outlined.
