We are a start-up company working on one of the most challenging and long-standing problems in technology: non-invasive measurement of glucose levels for people with diabetes. We are developing a non-invasive optical system to replace the “fingerstick” tests in use today. Our approach is based on a mature optical technology already shown to measure glucose non-invasively using laboratory scale instruments. Our opto-electronics engineers have designed and patented a novel, compact version of this technology. We are now expanding our signal processing team and are searching for an individual to develop and test algorithms to analyze signals acquired with our system.
Fair warning: We are a start-up with adequate, but limited financing. We have a strong ethos of doing as much as possible with as little as possible. Our facilities are distinctly “no frills.” The team is small, bright, dedicated and forthright. There is an abundance of challenging work. Our successes are exhilarating, but usually hard won. Solving this problem will improve the lives of millions of people who have diabetes. We have learned that truly creative technical insight combined with a disciplined approach and simple perseverance are the traits critical to success. If you’re still interested…
